Confession
Bible Text: James 5:13-20, ESV | Pastor: Bobby Brooks | Series: James Faith & Works
Confess your sin to each other and pray for one another, so that you may be healed.
Live it out
Start small but start somewhere – find someone or a small group of people who you can sit with and confess your sin. Preferably find a person or small group who will not only listen and pray for you but will share and confess as well. Remember, start small and safe but definitely start and allow God to deepen your trust and faith as He leads you into healing and wholeness.
Remember to pray first and foremost – when listening to someone else’s confession, withhold judgment, condemnation and correction. There is a time and place to try to help someone grow and mature and try to help them ‘fix’ their problems, but confession isn’t that time. Hear them out, actively listen, and then go to God in prayer on their behalf.
